The project ‘Social enterprise Bon Appétit at Maria’s World Foundation’ is funded by OP Human Resources Development and is co-financed by the European Union through the European Social Fund.

General objective: Establish Social enterprise Bon Appétit at Maria’s World Foundation and thereby facilitate access to employment and support the social inclusion of vulnerable groups by providing appropriate conditions for their social integration in the social economy domain.

Specific objectives:
1. Establish a social enterprise at Maria’s World Foundation;
2. Facilitate access to employment by vulnerable groups;
3. Create appropriate opportunities for the accomplishment of vulnerable groups included in employment;
4. Promote social enterprises.

Key activities:

1. Employ members of selected target groups and provide employment for a term of 12 months;
2. Facilitate the social and professional integration of the vulnerable group members;
3. Ensure that employers assign mentors to the persons employed;
4. Provide equipment and fixtures for the new workplaces and ensure the functioning of the social enterprise;
5. Social marketing and promotion of social economy and social entrepreneurship;
6. Management and functioning of the social enterprise.

Performance indicator: 11 inactive or unemployed participants.
Outcome indicator: 11 inactive or unemployed participants included in employment after the end of the operation.

Target group: Persons disadvantaged in the labour market and other socially excluded persons.

Outcome:

1. Facilitated access to employment and social inclusion for vulnerable groups. 11 members of vulnerable groups selected and included in employment. Appropriate conditions created for the full integration of vulnerable group members in the social economy domain.
2. Support provided for the social and professional integration of vulnerable group members following their inclusion in employment. Two subject-matter experts employed: a Training and Development Expert and a Social Activities Expert.
3. Mentors assigned to the new employees. Seamless employment of the 11 vulnerable group’s members ensured.
4. Catering equipment and fixtures provided. Materials, work clothing and running expenses covered.
5. Two promotional events held. Social enterprise and social entrepreneurship opportunities promoted. At least three promotional videos produced.
6. The social enterprise team recruited. The functioning and sustainability of the social enterprise ensured. A three-member management team appointed to steer the social enterprise.
