da jiveem zaednoLet's Live Together – active participation of people with intellectual difficulties in the social and cultural life of Sofia. The aim of our project is to facilitate and promote dialogue between people with intellectual difficulties and the citizens of the capital city by nurturing an environment that contributes to the development of Sofia as a modern and tolerant European city.

Some of the goals the project aims to achieve are set out below: • Enable people with intellectual difficulties and their families to voice their position as citizens and influence the processes under way in civil society in Sofia;
• Create an environment that enables cooperation between the young people with intellectual difficulties who attend the Day Care Work Centre and people in the community through shared experiences and involvement in appropriate creative activities;
• Launch a discussion about the active civil participation of people with intellectual difficulties in the life of the capital city and their access to appropriate cultural events. Some of the project activities are: • Information/awareness campaign dedicated to people with intellectual difficulties;
• Open Doors days at the Day Care Work Centre for people with intellectual difficulties;
• Round table/discussion dedicated to the active civil participation of people with intellectual difficulties in life in the metropolis;
• Broadcasting of a radio spot with the participation of people with intellectual difficulties;
• Designing and exhibiting a billboard in order to promote the active civil position of people with intellectual difficulties. A tolerant environment for people with disabilities in Sofia can be nurtured solely by integrating a host of local government social, cultural and educational policies. The project will enable people with intellectual difficulties to share their understanding of how integration should work, including their perspective on themselves as citizens of the capital city. The project is implemented with the financial assistance of the Europe 2013 Programme of the Sofia Municipality in support of Sofia's bid for 2019 European Capital of Culture.

The duration of the project is from June 2013 until October 2013.
