I believe that each individual is valuable

"People become volunteers for many and different reasons. Of course, the main underlying idea is to help those in need. The drive to be a volunteer comes from within. We may, depending on our personal circumstances, eschew this commitment. Yet volunteering is a cause to which we somehow remain faithful throughout our lives. I believe that each individual is valuable and deserves the chance to achieve their full potential and live with hope for the future. People with disabilities must be free and equal to all others – free to make a choice and equal in the possibilities available to them to make that choice a reality. I sincerely hope that with support from all of us, Maria's World Foundation will continue to work harder and with greater efficiency to overcome the social isolation of people with intellectual disabilities and ensure their full and meaningful integration in society."
