The work practice programme is geared towards providing conditions in which acquired work skills can be applied and practiced in a real-life environment.

The aim of the programme is to provide the clients of the Day Care Centre with possibilities to practice their skills through their inclusion as volunteers in areas of interest for which they are suitably trained.

Work practice takes place in a group under the supervision of an accompanying social worker who prepares and arranges the work activities and acts as a client coach. The programme participants work in a real-life environment, carrying out familiar tasks during a specified period of time depending on their individual abilities. Work practice centres on familiar activities that require skills acquired at the ateliers of the Day Care Centre: service delivery, cleaning, catering, sorting, arranging, ironing, etc.

The programme is open to all clients of the Day Care Centre in line with their individual support plans.
